Hadan Bayaqud
In over his head.
Native to the Azim Steppe, Hadan of the Bayaqud traveled to Eorzea to escape the expectations placed upon him by his family and his tribe. Having little worldly experience, Eorzea has been a major adjustment for the Xaela warrior with no reading literacy in the common tongue, and even less literacy in navigating social norms outside of his tribe.

Hadan was born the second youngest male in his family of nine children. Along with his sister who was close to him in age, he was often treated as the baby of the family. That was, until his little sister got married, and Hadan was suddenly being pressured into growing up - and becoming a suitable bridegroom for a Bayaqud wife to take into her family.Wanting freedom from such daunting responsibilities, Hadan left the Azim Steppe, and traveled to Eorzea where his older sister has made her mark as an adventurer - and where he hopes to do the same.Hadan is a kind and energetic soul; he's quite hot-headed, impulsive, and outgoing. While he doesn't think very highly of himself in most regards, he is a strong and loyal friend, and will do anything to make those he cares for happy.Be careful not to frighten or anger him, though, for he struggles to maintain control of the beast within...
Story so far...
• First Few Moons:
Hadan hopped on a boat to Vylbrand, where he proceeded to get trapped for several moons, as he could not (and still cannot) read Eorzean and had trouble adjusting to the language. Eventually his sister discovered he was in Limsa Lominsa and, through her connections with the Adventurer's Guild, obtained Hadan a membership and a courtesy inn room at The Mizzenmast. Hadan picked up training with the Warrior division of the Marauder's Guild.
• Hadan's first job:
Hadan ran into issues with trying to make gil solely off of adventuring, given his relative inexperience. For a time, he picked up a job as a gladiator at a fight club, putting his fighting skills to good use. Through his work he made new friends, learned a myriad of social skills, and explored the wonders of having a complicated love life.
• Awakening the inner beast:
Hadan eventually began a relationship with a Miqo'te man he met named Tora'li Aerin - or Rali for short. Unfortunately, Rali was being stalked by a jealous and possessive ex-lover, who took things too far when he kidnapped and tormented Hadan as an act of revenge. The incident left the Xaela warrior physically and emotionally scarred - and awoke his Inner Beast, which he now struggles to maintain control of whenever angered or faced with danger (real or perceived). He had to quit his job as a gladiator after losing control and nearly killing one of his co-workers in the ring. Hadan has gone through rigorous training with another Xaela who had learned to control his own Inner Beast, and now doesn't lose control at the first sign of a fight, but still maintains a tenuous hold over it.
• Seeking Adventure:
Rali, Hadan's lover, was stolen away by zealous war-driven heretics who sought to restoke conflicts between dragons and Ishgard. The Ishgardian born and raised man had already previously been forced to ingest dragon's blood and struggled with keeping his draconic features at bay. In the hands of the heretics, he was forced to do much worse, inhabiting a Primal of an elder dragon with his body as the core. Hadan, along with several others, embarked on a rescue mission that involved vanquishing the Primal threat and saving Rali from becoming a weapon of war. Being granted the Echo by pure happenstance in the process, these actions garnered the attention of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, who sought to recruit Hadan to their cause. While his stint with them before their dissolution was brief, Hadan and Rali now both seek adventure in far off lands, to help those in need.
